Adoption Process

We ask that you fill out the adoption form  prior to placing a deposit. We like to know who is inquiring about our puppies and what kind of lifestyle they will be offering our puppies. We may forfeit your right to adopt a puppy if we feel you would not be a good fit for one of our puppies. We have loved them since birth and want the very best for them when they leave us.

We offer shipping or you may come pick up your puppy. A $300 deposit for Goldendoodles or $500 deposit for Bernedoodles will hold your puppy until it is time to ship/pick up your puppy. Deposits can be made through Paypal with a 3.75% transaction fee. Once I decide you would be a good candidate for one of our puppies I will send you an invoice through Paypal. Puppies may be picked at 4 weeks in the order deposits are received. Deposits are non-refundable. If you don't see a puppy you like, or your circumstances have changed you may move your deposit to another litter. Puppies will be paid for in full at 6 weeks of age, including shipping fees.

Shipping

Puppies can not be shipped or picked up until they are 8 weeks of age. We offer ground transportation to select areas. Ground shipping will be $200 and $250 to New Jersey and New York. Puppies are transported in an air-conditioned/heated van with a driver and puppy care taker. Puppies will be well supervised and cared for while in route. I will give the shipper your contact information and they will contact you once they leave and know how many stops they have. They will give you a time and a meeting place. They will not bring the puppy directly to your home, but will meet you right off a major interstate.

Puppies can be air shipped, weather permitting. We fly American Airlines when we can which will cost $350. Puppies being flown on Delta or United will cost $400. Puppies will come in a kennel with food and water. All paperwork will be attached to the kennel. You will need to give me the name of the person picking up the puppy if it is someone other than you. Whoever picks the puppy up will need a photo i.d. and will go to the airline counter the puppy is being flown into. I will give you the conformation number and time a week before the puppy is shipped. If the weather is too hot or cold the puppy may have to go on Delta or United or may not be able to be shipped at all. We will do the best we can to get your puppy to you at the appointed time.

Nutrition

Our puppies start eating Nutri Source Starter food mixed in with Pedigree canned dog food with their moms around 4 weeks of age. We start weaning puppies at 6 weeks of age. Once puppies are weaned, we switch them over to Nutri Source Seafood Select for all stages of life, which is the sample food we will be sending to you with your new puppy.

You may continue to use this brand or switch to any high quality puppy food. We recommend you keep your puppy on puppy food until they are at least one year of age, then you can switch them over to an adult food. We recommend feeding your puppy twice a day. Start with 1/2 cup morning and night, not giving your puppy more than they can clean up in ten or twenty minutes. Gradually increase the amount as your puppy grows. We don't recommend giving your puppy access to food all the time, for they may become overweight.

Vitamins-Supplements

All of our puppies are started on NuVet at 6 weeks of age. All our adult dogs are given NuVet daily, which helps them recover after pregnancy and maintain healthy coats. We also notice it helping with allergies in our adult dogs. Please see our NuVet page for more information on this product and how to order.

Toys & Treats

Make sure you have lots of chew toys for the first 1-2 years. We like using Kongs and Knuckle Bones. Small puppies may use small toys, but once they get a little bigger, make sure you aren't giving them toys they can tear apart and choke on. Tennis balls don't stand a chance with my Goldens!

Homemade Bacon- Peanut Butter Treats

1/4 cup bacon drippings
3 tbsp. ground flax seed
1/4 tsp. sea salt

Bake for 25 minutes, rotating cookie sheets half way through. Transfer to a wire rack to cool and store in an air-tight container.

Grooming

Both Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles need to be groomed regularly. The amount of grooming depends on the length and type of coat. We have a groomer groom our dogs every 2 months. Some Doodles have straight coats, while some have kinky, curly coats. All Doodles need to be brushed at least once a week and more if their hair is kept long. Make sure to use a comb (we like the metal ones the best) that reaches though the whole coat and doesn't just brush the surface. Hair can become matted underneath. Doodles can be bathed once every week or two weeks. Don't bathe them too frequently or you will wash away esential oils, making their skin dry and itchy.
